Boating and Watersports

Boats can be launched into 206-acre Hyalite Reservoir from the parking area at the north end of the reservoir or from the Hood Creek campground. There is a boat ramp for launching your watercraft. Hyalite Reservoir has a ‘no wake’ rule, allowing only low speed motoring for trolling. On a summer day you're bound to see watercraft of all types out on the reservoir – from powerboats to sailboats, canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. Below the reservoir, Hyalite Creek offers an exciting run for experienced kayakers when the water is at its peak.

Please wash and dry boats and motors before entering Hyalite Reservoir to avoid introducing invasive species.
