Summer Stewardship Events

During the months of June, July and August we organize stewardship projects in Hyalite. These events are usually scheduled on either a weekday evening or on a weekend. See the summer stewardship events planned for 2025 below. More information on each event will be announced on social media (Facebook, Instagram) and via email to members of the Friends of Hyalite mailing list. We also work with local schools, churches, and other community organizations who want to volunteer with projects in Hyalite Canyon. Email us at info@hyalite.org for more information.

Summer Stewardship Opportunities in 2025

Saturday, June 14th (8am - noon): Langhor Road cleanup. Meet at the Information sign at the foot of the canyon.

Wednesday, August 13th (6pm - 9pm): Cleanup of illegal rock fire pits at dispersed camp sites along the Grotto Falls Rd and below the reservoir dam. Meet at the Information sign at the foot of the canyon.

Saturday, September 6th (9am - 4 pm): Cleanup of Hyalite Lake and the trail leading up to the lake. Meet at the Grotto Falls parking lot at 9 am.
